Remember, these antibody molecules are designed to fit on the invading cell's surface proteins, also called CELL SURFACE ANTIGENS.
Your own cells also have cell surface antigens.
If you made antibodies against those, you would kill your own cells!
So your body only makes antibodies against proteins that it DOESN'T see on your own cells.
For instance, if this is one of your cells:
Your plasma will NOT contain antibodies against pink, purple, or green surface proteins, because if it did those antibodies would destroy your own cells.
