A man had problems with bruising and bleeding, and when he was tested his platelet counts were found to be very low. HisTPO levels, however, were slightly higher than normal. Decreased Oxygen to the kidneys would cause them to secrete a hormone, but it would be Erythropoietin, not Thrombopoietin!
