Remember THE BOSS'S ground rules of dilution: 1. You don't want to waste reagents! Don't use any one dilution step greater than 1:100 2. You want to do the smallest dilution first, so your leftovers will be strong enough for other people to use. 3. If you have a step in your dilution that isn't a 1: a power of 10, do it first. It will be simpler to dilute the leftovers when you're making up more solution later. And ... 4. You'd like them to involve volumes that are easy to measure!
